His background includes managing subcontractors, coordinating inspections, reading and interpreting blueprints, overseeing budgets, maintaining jobsite safety, and delivering projects that meet code and exceed expectations.
Don’s experience includes work as a traveling superintendent, construction manager, project manager, superintendent, owner/operator, and construction leader across Texas, Louisiana, and national project sites.
As the Director of Veterans for the National Opportunity League, Don is now using his construction background and military discipline to help lead Dreamersville—a veteran-led housing and workforce development model designed to build homes, train tradespeople, and create long-term opportunity.
Don Burse Sr. served in the U.S. Air Force as an Aircraft Weapons System Specialist for A-10 and F-16 fighter jets. His military training in discipline, precision, and safety protocols laid the foundation for 27+ years of excellence in construction leadership.
